CREATIVITY
THROUGH
LANGUAGE
We are a social company devoted to early education through play and reading. Our mission is "Creativity Through Language". We are professors, teachers, and entrepreneurs of combined experience of more than 80 years in early literacy skills in Chinese, English, and other languages. This is reflected in our 200+ peer reviewed journal publications of early learning. We provide classes and programs and our language games and language books are focused on learning through play. We promote both individual play and team play as well as artistic expression to promote creative learning of languages.

Developmental psychologist creates tools for learning through playing
As a developmental psychologist working in CUHK, Professor McBride specializes in the area of cross-cultural reading learning and difficulties. Having worked in this area for more than 25 years, she started an area that she had never touched. Upon receiving grants from the university last year, she and her partners started the Cayan Educational Design Ltd, a company that develops and promotes different tools to help children learn languages.
The main product of Cayan Educational Design Ltd is the Bumper Cards™️. This is a card game that advocates learning through playing and aims to bring fun to language learning. Meanwhile, Prof. McBride’s work had not been impacted by the COVID-19. During the pandemic, she and her partners spent 9 months in writing a story book for the Bumper Cards™️, so that the concept of Bumper Cards™️ was more clearly expressed via those concrete stories.

In fact, these two products were developed based on some of Prof. McBride’s personal experiences and her views towards education.
